  • Develop equipment purchase plan for review and approval of Client and implement equipment installation in accordance with approved plan.
  • Facilitate final facility walk-through and punch list.

Operational Systems

  • Develop criteria for selecting the Center Leader and provide support during the selection process.
  • Offer comprehensive training for the Center Leader on ASC operations and management.
  • Consult with ASC Leader in hiring and training of professional staff.
  • Consult with ASC Leader in setting up employee files.
  • Develop recommended staffing plans for review and approval of Client.
  • Develop recommended policies and procedures, with input from physicians, Nurse Manager and staff, for review and approval of Client.
  • Develop recommended credentialing procedures for review and approval of Client and implement approved procedures.
  • Identify potential Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) arrangements for review and approval of Client.
  • Procure equipment described in Client’s equipment plan and coordinate installation with approved schedule.
  • Assist ASC Leader in establishing vendor relations with competitive price points.
  • Develop and implement inventory system (par level, protocols, etc.) with review and approval of Client.
  • Assist ASC Leader with ordering linens, scrubs, supplies, drugs, etc.
  • Arrange outsourced service contracts on behalf of Client and with Client’s prior review and approval.
  • Draft and implement clinical, business office, and human resources forms.
  • Develop and implement physician block schedule.
  • Coordinate staff in-services on mechanical systems (emergency generator, nurse call system, fire system, security system, etc.).
  • Assist in coordinating moving into and “setting up” the Center.

Technology and Systems Implementation

  • Make recommendations for hardware systems.
  • Select and implement EMR/EHR systems and other operational technologies.
  • Train staff on technology use and integration.

Financial Planning and Revenue Cycle Setup

  • Establish billing, coding, and collections processes.
  • Provide guidance on revenue cycle management and financial reporting.

Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation Support

  • Guide through the state inspections, licensure and Medicare certification process.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, AAAHC, and other regulatory standards.
  • Develop readiness plans for accreditation surveys.
  • Conduct mock surveys to identify and address potential deficiencies.

Governance and Leadership Support

  • Organize and facilitate ASC Governing Board meetings.
  • Provide training for ASC leadership on compliance and operational excellence.
  • Provide consultation and assistance in the development (with input and review of Client’s legal counsel) of governance structure, governance documents (bylaws or operating agreement), Medical Staff Bylaws, and Medical Staff Rules and Regulations as applicable.
  • Assist with the establishment of a governing board and implementation of system protocols.
  • Advise governing board in selection of Medical Director, Medical Advisory Committee, and QA Committee.

Emergency Preparedness and Risk Management

  • Develop emergency response plans and conduct staff training.
  • Implement risk management strategies to ensure patient and staff safety.

  • Establish QAPI programs to monitor and improve care quality.
